The World’s Strongest Sheer Knit
Sheertex makes the world’s strongest pantyhose. Starting from humble small town beginnings in 2017, their business now ships out of the largest hosiery factory in Canada. They reached out to Lifted to redesign their shopify store for a more powerful ecommerce experience.

01. The Challenge
Redesigning a more Powerful Ecommerce Experience
Sheertex had a beautiful mission – to provide their customers with the world’s strongest sheer knit – one that would last for much longer than the average pair from the drugstore. Their good intentions were met with an unfortunate experience with developers who left their website in bad shape prior to Black Friday. Despite their efforts to turn things around, they needed to call in reinforcements to completely overhaul their website.
They reached out to Lifted Solutions for a “9-1-1 intensive”, multistage project that would initially redesign the highest traffic volume areas of their website before Black Friday (i.e product pages and home page). As a fast follow, Lifted would restructure the remaining content and code to sustain residual holiday traffic.
02. The Solution
From Product Concept to Delivery
PHASE 1 // IMMEDIATE FIXES
The original code layout was archaic. Mostly, we noticed that new code had overwritten previous code in patchwork attempts. We identified the pages that were most likely to drive revenue and set out to redesign those pages first. Initial user journey research revealed that we could eliminate a “collections” overview page simply by providing a side menu to toggle between collection pages. Removing this extra step for users resulted in a 31% increase in “add to carts”.
We conducted user interviews to find out what would increase product page conversions. From insights gained, we developed various prototypes and observed user behaviours in a mock-up environment. The insights allowed us to add in content such as a 30 day guarantee, video reviews, and manufacturing claims.
Also included: Home Page, Cart Menu, and Check Out Flow.
PHASE 2: FAST FOLLOWS
Based on the product funnel, we developed all other Sheertex pages that were not directly attributed to sales. The About Section expanded to 4 distinct pages highlighting the brand story, team, product testing, and materials used. For easier user adoption, the blog layout adopted a magazine template similar to large retailers like H&M. The new Influencer Program page which allowed Sheertex to easily acquire and develop relationships to bolster their review content.
