Frequently asked questions

What industries do you typically work with?

We've had the chance to partner with clients across a wide range of industries, and that variety is part of what makes our work exciting. Each industry brings its own challenges, whether it's handling complex product data, meeting compliance standards, or creating smooth customer experiences. Our job is to adapt the technology to fit the business. Not the other way around.

Some of the industries we've worked in include:

  • Healthcare + medical: from pharma and healthcare advisory groups to oncology clinics, specialist practices, and even animal hospitals.
  • E-Commerce and consumer packaging: we’ve partnered with online stores and CPG brands like Neuro Gum, Chefs Plate, Goli, Sheertex, and other fast-growing teams.
  • Cosmetics + Beauty: We've worked with brands like Solawave, PrettyParty, Soakness and Opal Cosmetics among others in the space.
  • Tech, VC & Professional Associations: partners like COMMB, Sequoia Partners, Pound Ventures, Adrian Crook & Associates, and Cambridge Pacific Ventures trust us to shape the digital presence of both their firms and the portfolios they support.
  • Industrial + Manufacturing: teams like HydraForce, Allvision, and Niagara Fasteners rely on us to make complex products and catalogs easier to explore.

We’re not married to one niche, though. The real pattern in our work is simple: clear, scalable, easy-to-use websites and platforms. If your industry isn’t listed here, no stress; if you’ve got a digital problem worth solving, we’re interested.

How do you approach new projects?

Every project starts with understanding your business. We look at your goals, audience, and current site so we’re clear on what’s working, what isn’t, and what great actually looks like for you.

From there, we map out a plan: structure and UX first, then design, then development. We focus on user-friendly experiences, clean builds, and making sure whatever we launch can grow with you.

We see it as a partnership, not a hand-off, so you’ll see work in progress, give feedback along the way, and know exactly where things stand from discovery through launch.

What's the typical timeline for a website or e-commerce build?

There's no one-size-fits-all timeline, but here's a general guide:

  • Basic websites / smaller Shopify builds: ~6–8 weeks
  • Mid-sized projects with integrations or custom features: ~10–14 weeks
  • Large-scale or enterprise builds: 16+ weeks

Once we know more about your scope; pages, features, integrations, and content, we’ll share a clear timeline with milestones so you know what’s happening when.

Do you offer ongoing support after launch?

We don’t hand over the keys and disappear. After launch, we’re here when you need us. Whether that’s updating content, tweaking layouts, improving performance, or planning the next phase.

If you know you’ll need regular support, we can set up a block of hours or a simple retainer so you’ve got a go-to team on call. Think of us as your tech and digital team behind the scenes.

How do we stay in touch during the project?

At the start of the project, we’ll agree on how you like to work. Usually a mix of email, shared docs, and either weekly or bi-weekly check-ins.

For bigger milestones (like UX, design, or staging reviews), we’ll walk you through everything, gather feedback, and confirm next steps before moving on.

The goal is simple: no guessing where things are at, no chasing updates. You’ll always know what we’re working on and what’s coming next.

What's it like working with Lifted?

You’re not getting a huge layered agency with five hand-offs. You’re working with a small, senior team that actually does the work. We listen, ask a lot of questions, and tell you what we’d do if it were our own business.'

We care about clean builds, clear communication, and not overcomplicating things. You’ll see work early and often, and you’ll always know why we’re recommending a certain direction.

A lot of clients tell us it feels like working with an extension of their team, rather than “an agency”. Exactly what we’re aiming for.

How custom will our site be?

We don’t ship off-the-shelf templates. Every project is designed and built around your brand, content, and customer experience.

Under the hood, we use proven platforms and frameworks — like Shopify, WordPress, React, Svelte, Gatsby, or Contentful. So your site is fast, well supported, and scalable. On top of that, the layout, components, and interactions are tailored to you.

The end result: a site that feels like yours, not something a dozen other companies are using.

How do you handle pricing?

We keep pricing straightforward. We’ll start with a clear scope. What we’re doing, what’s included, and what’s out of scope, and then give you a proposal based on that.

Some clients prefer a fixed project price; others work with us on an ongoing basis for continuous support and improvements. We’re flexible, as long as it stays clear on both sides.

No surprise fees, no vague “phases”. You’ll know where your budget is going and what you’re getting for it.

Can you work with our existing website or do you only build new?

We can absolutely work with your existing website. Sometimes a full rebuild isn’t necessary. A few smart improvements, performance upgrades, or design refreshes can make a huge difference.

We’ll look at what you have now, what’s working, and where it’s holding you back. If it makes more sense to rebuild from scratch, we’ll explain why, but we never push a new site just for the sake of it.

What happens if we need changes or new features after launch?

Websites aren’t “set and forget”, they should keep evolving. If you need changes or new features after launch, we’ll scope them out, prioritize based on impact, and fold them into your roadmap.

For clients who know they’ll need ongoing updates, we often set up a simple retainer so improvements are built into the plan. That way your site keeps moving forward without starting a new project every time.
